Yasar is a strategy advisor focused on Emerging Markets with over 30 years’ experience in Public Sector Modernization, Technology for Development, and Education. He advised senior clients in the region including the UAE Prime Minister Office, Abu Dhabi and Dubai Executive Councils, Oman Royal Court, Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, among many others.

Formerly, Yasar was a Partner at Bain & Company (www.bain.com) heading the Public Sector practice in the Middle East and North Africa for 3 years and prior to that was a Partner at PwC (www.pwc.com) leading Middle East Strategy Practice and the Global Education Practice for 5 years.
Before PwC, Yasar served as the founding Executive Dean of the Dubai School of Government (UAE) and as a Research Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. In 2009 Yasar was selected by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a Young Global Leader, and in 2010 he joined the Global Agenda Councils at WEF where we have co-chair of the Global Agenda Council on the Future of Government.
Before that he served as the Strategy Director at The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai from 2001 to 2005. In 2006, he headed the Prime Ministry Delivery Unit Jordan and led the development of Jordan’s National Agenda 2015.
Prior to that, Yasar worked in the UK as a Research Fellow in Cranfield School of Management and Bradford School of Management, and delivered strategy advice, and executive education, to various global firms such as DHL, Shell, Arla Foods, and Bank of Scotland.
Yasar published extensively in various academic and professional journals, and his insights have been quoted in global and regional media.
